New Year, Same You

As we enter a new year and new decade, we are surrounded by suggestions that we need to be a new and reinvented version of ourselves. While it’s definitely beneficial to add healthy habits and reduce unhealthy ones, it is equally beneficial to stop, take stock of your life and who you are as a person, and honor all within you that has carried you into this new year/decade. Before starting resolutions, make a list of all the things you excel at, all the people you are helpful to, all the ways in which you are kind to yourself. Own these things. Taking time to realize how great you already are will only help you stick to any positive changes you decide to undertake.
